What is Effective Altruism?
Effective altruism is about finding the best ways to help others and then doing those things.
This is important because some efforts to do good don't succeed as much as we'd hope, while others can be incredibly effective. For example, some charities can help 100 or even 1,000 times more people than others with the same resources.
By carefully thinking about the best ways to help, we can have a larger impact on the world’s biggest problems.
